Job summary

Armanino is seeking a senior data/analytics platform engineer to architect and operate cloud data platforms and BI delivery infrastructure in San Ramon. You will set standards for reliability, security, CI/CD, and governance while driving platform maturity and cost management.

You will lead onboarding for engineering and client teams, diagnose performance issues, and own production platforms across Snowflake, Fabric, or Databricks with Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in data engineering, platform engineering, analytics engineering, or cloud operations with production ownership.
• Minimum 2 years of representative accounting experience in systems or roles.
• Deep production-grade cloud data platform knowledge: Snowflake, Fabric, or Databricks with fluency across others.
• Strong command of BI platforms: Power BI or Tableau, including data modeling and refresh architecture.
• CI/CD ownership: Git, branching, PR discipline, and pipelines.
• Scripting in Python or PowerShell and advanced troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL with performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Working knowledge of cloud fundamentals: IAM, logging, monitoring; secure and governed environments.
• Clear technical writing: runbooks and architecture documentation.
• Certifications (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) are a plus; AI/GenAI enablement experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Operations: own design and day-to-day operation of cloud data platforms with standards.
• DevOps & Deployment: design and own CI/CD workflows for data assets, including templates and runbooks.
• Data & Analytics Platform Leadership: act as technical authority across Fabric, Snowflake or Databricks and BI tools.
• Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Response: own reliability, SLOs, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.
• Security & Governance: enforce least-privilege access and data governance across environments.
