Job summary

Armanino Advisory LLC is hiring an early-career Platform Operations engineer to build and run cloud data/analytics platforms (Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks) and support BI delivery (Power BI/Tableau). You will contribute to reliability, CI/CD, environment setup, and runbooks while learning security, governance, and deployment automation from senior engineers.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in data/platform engineering and 1 year of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a data engineering, platform engineering, analytics engineering, or cloud operations role (internships/co-ops count).
• Minimum 1 year of representative accounting experience.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
• Experience with BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Git, branching/PRs, pipelines).
• Scripting in Python or PowerShell; willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to document learnings (runbooks).
• Familiarity with SQL and performance basics (indexes, partitions).
• Knowledge of data governance concepts (PII, RLS/CLS, environment separation).
• Azure fundamentals or vendor certifications are a plus.
• Exposure to AI/ML/GenAI enablement and model lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations for cloud data platforms, including setup and access requests.
• Help with platform hygiene, documentation, and repeatability.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows for data/analytics assets under mentoring.
• Maintain reusable templates/checklists for deployments and release notes.
• Assist with onboarding and enablement across Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks and BI tooling.
• Participate in incident response, triage, and preventative improvements.
• Support data governance basics (PII handling, environment separation).
• Follow least-privilege access and secure secret handling.
