Job summary

Armanino LLP is seeking a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer to design, operate, and evolve cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Fabric, or Databricks, and to own BI delivery infrastructure like Power BI or Tableau. You will drive platform maturity, governance, and scalable CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring secure, reliable analytics services across engagements.

The role requires 6+ years in data/platform engineering and 2+ years in accounting-related work, with strong SQL, scripting, and cloud

Qualifications

6+ years in data engineering/platform/analytics engineering or cloud ops with production ownership.
2+ years of representative accounting experience.
Deep production-grade cloud data platform knowledge (Snowflake/Fabric/Databricks) with fluency across others.
Strong BI knowledge (Power BI or Tableau) and data modeling.
CI/CD ownership: Git, branching, PR discipline, pipelines.

Responsibilities

Own the design and day-to-day operation of cloud data platforms, including workspace architecture, access models, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
Design, build, and own CI/CD workflows for data assets (pipelines, models, reports) including release docs and rollback.
Lead platform leadership across Fabric/Snowflake/Databricks and BI tools; onboard engineering and client teams with guardrails and reusable solutions.
Own platform reliability: set monitoring, SLOs, incident response, and playbooks; reduce operational toil.
Enforce security and governance: least-privilege access, secret handling, data governance, and environment separation.
