Job summary

Charter Next Generation (CNG) is seeking a senior data/ML/analytics engineer to design and scale data pipelines and AI solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable systems.

You will work in a hybrid schedule, engaging with internal teams to deliver impactful data products, improve data quality, and enable analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, ML is a plus.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Advanced SQL skills and analytical data models.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating multiple data sources.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience developing or integrating REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical data products.
• Develop data transformations and models using SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Integrate data from ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and other enterprise systems.
• Build Python applications and data services using FastAPI.
• Productionize ML, forecasting, optimization, and AI solutions.
• Develop batch and real-time data integration patterns.
• Maintain automated testing, monitoring, and data-quality controls.
• Implement CI/CD and modern software engineering practices for data/AI solutions.
• Use Infrastructure as Code and automation for repeatable deployments.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to scale solutions.
• Support ML lifecycle management including deployment and retraining.
• Help develop reusable engineering patterns for Generative AI.
• Diagnose performance and data-quality issues across production systems.
• Contribute to code reviews, standards, and documentation.
