Job summary

Bay Cities is seeking an Enterprise Data & AI Architect to own and extend the enterprise data intelligence platform. The role reports to CIO, leading a small BI/analytics team and delivering measurable business outcomes across manufacturing, finance, and operations.

You will work remotely or on-site from Southern California with travel as needed, building scalable data pipelines, AI-enabled workflows, and governance across Fabric, Power BI, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years SQL Server/T-SQL- complex analytical queries, views, stored procedures, dimensional modeling.
• 3+ years Power BI/DAX- Semantic model development, DAX measures, evaluation context. Production deployments.
• Microsoft Fabric or equivalent cloud analytics platform- Data warehouse, pipelines, semantic models, workspace governance.
• Data Warehouse Design- Dimensional modeling, star schemas, ETL/ELT patterns, production warehouse ownership.
• Python- Data transformation, scripting, automation; pandas/scikit-learn a plus.
• Git Version Control- All code, models, docs under VCS; API integration with ERP/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Own and extend the SQL Server analytics data warehouse with a star schema.
• Design and maintain data pipelines from ERP, logistics, and workflow management to Microsoft Fabric.
• Handle complex temporal data challenges across multiple systems.
• Maintain schema governance, documentation, and data lineage.
• Build and maintain Power BI semantic models deployed to Microsoft Fabric and develop DAX measures.
• Deliver executive dashboards (P&L, Balance Sheet, Flash Reports) and operational metrics.
• Design and orchestrate AI agent workflows for business process automation and alerting.
• Ensure data quality by validating data and reconciling source vs reporting layers.
