Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Leader, DAQ Operations to own and scale the robotics data collection system across stations, workforce, and facilities. You will coordinate across robotics research, engineering, operations, and external partners to keep data collection running reliably at scale.

This single-threaded ownership role focuses on system cohesion, throughput improvements, and alignment with senior stakeholders while driving readiness and extended deployments across sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the DAQ Operating System: end-to-end system enabling robotics data collection across stations, workforce, and facilities
• Ensure robotics fleet, station software, workforce execution, and infrastructure operate as a single, reliable system
• Set operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and escalation paths to keep execution unblocked
• Drive improvements in throughput, reliability, and data quality
• Act as the single point of operational alignment across robotics research, engineering, and operations
• Own execution of the managed workforce model through a services partner
• Define expectations, metrics, and escalation paths with vendor leadership
• Surface issues early and drive fast resolution to prevent recurrence
