Tetra Tech, Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Senior Dam Safety Engineer to lead hydropower and dam safety projects. The role offers hybrid work flexibility from our Nashville office or any Tetra Tech office in Colorado, Tennessee, or the Pacific Northwest, and involves inspections, risk assessments, and design for dam facilities.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and support client relationships. A PE license and 10+ years' experience are required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, geological engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience involving dams, hydropower, water conveyance, or related infrastructure.
• Active PE license.
• Project management and/or technical leadership experience.
• Construction experience and field troubleshooting ability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical teams.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and communication.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to travel.

Aufgaben

• Lead or support inspections, engineering assessments, and risk assessments for dams and hydropower facilities.
• Participate in FERC Part 12 and USACE dam safety activities and related analyses.
• Develop engineering analyses, designs and recommendations for dam and hydropower facilities.
• Lead or support hydraulic structure design and construction documents.
• Prepare/ review technical reports, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, owners, contractors, and regulators.
• Serve as project manager with technical oversight and mentorship.
• Visit project sites for inspections and field issue resolution.
• Support business development, client relations and strategic planning.
