Job summary

A civil engineering firm is seeking a Chief Dam Safety Engineer in Denver, Colorado, to oversee dam safety evaluations and report writing. Candidates must possess a PE license from Washington, Oregon, or California and have over 12 years of engineering consulting experience. This role includes managing projects, conducting inspections, and mentoring junior staff while part of an employee-owned team dedicated to impactful water resource projects.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering consulting experience including dam safety evaluations.
• Washington, Oregon or California PE License required.
• Experience as a FERC-approved Independent Consultant or CDSE.

Responsibilities

• Perform dam safety work including inspections and evaluations.
• Write dam safety reports including required documents.
• Mentor junior staff on dam safety aspects.
