Job summary

Darigold seeks a Senior Transportation Procurement Manager to lead liquid bulk transportation, optimize cost and service, and drive continuous improvement across network operations. You will manage hauler relationships, negotiate contracts, and guide a planning team to deliver reliable milk movement.

You bring a decade of dairy/logistics experience, strong data skills (Excel/Power BI), and the ability to collaborate across Planning, Operations and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in dairy, transportation, or logistics fields.
• Familiarity with milk supply, regulatory aspects, and carrier management.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with regional bulk haulers and plants for an efficient network.
• Source and negotiate contracts, handle freight claims and audits.
• Oversee daily operations of the Bulk Milk Hauling Transportation Planning Team.
• Resolve escalations between freight haulers and delivery plants; provide on-call support.
• Develop innovative network balancing solutions for downtime events.
• Investigate hauler issues and implement improvement plans.
• Serve as SME to haulers and plant personnel on milk pickup/delivery procedures.
• Support field staff with producer/hauler issues and reroutes.
• Collaborate with Ops and Planning on short-term transportation plans.
• Support fluid balancing for plants, considering schedules and conditions.
• Lead root-cause investigations related to bulk fluid supply and transport.
• Develop team capabilities through targeted training.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in coordination with haulers and plants.
• Communicate strategy across stakeholders to ensure alignment.
