Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Sr. Manager of Process Technology R&D to lead new process development for the Dairy Foods organization.

Qualifications

BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering; required.
MS/PhD or P.E. certification preferred.
10+ years with dairy chemistry and unit operations; required.
3+ years of management experience; required.
Experience leading R&D in the food industry; required.
Travel 10-25% of time.

Responsibilities

Serve as both a people leader (~20%) and a technical leader (~80%).
Lead and coordinate scale-up from bench/pilot to commercial scale; define process design for new or improved products.
Mentor and train team members, with both indirect and direct management responsibilities.
Execute technically complex projects including new process/product development and process improvement.
Apply engineering principles (mass/energy balances, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics) to scale-up and design.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D and non-R&D teams on moderately complex projects.
