Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Cypress Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated and functional testing for healthcare applications. You will work with product owners, analysts, developers, and client stakeholders in an Agile, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include building Cypress-based regression suites, API testing with Postman/SoapUI, and data validation with Oracle/SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of functional testing including test planning and reporting.
• 3+ years building automated Cypress tests for regression suites.
• Strong API and service testing with Postman/SoapUI.
• 2+ years healthcare application testing experience.
• Experience database validation with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with Jira and qTest for test management and reporting.
• Excellent communication with business/client teams in Agile.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated Cypress tests focusing on regression suites.
• Build reusable automation components, test data, and test suites.
• Translate business requirements into test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and data validation testing.
• Validate APIs/web services using Postman/SoapUI; backend validation with SQL servers.
• Manage defects and prepare test-execution reports and release-quality summaries.
• Coordinate UAT planning with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
