Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a systems administrator focused on electronic security to support installation, troubleshooting, and operation of cyber-physical security systems. This role requires a high level of clearance and will involve on-site work and collaboration with engineering and field teams.

Candidates should have a strong background in system administration, triage, and coordination with customers and vendors. Travel up to 50% and readiness for shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 12+ years in electronic security installation or testing.
• Associate’s with 10+ years, Bachelor’s with 7+ years, or Master’s with 5+ years experience.
• System administrator experience for triage, problem resolution and workstation deployment.
• Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and meet on-site customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to system admin and engineering teams for troubleshooting.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and system administrators.
• Train system users and support staff.
• Prepare detailed documentation of system performance and service requests.
• Perform desktop hardware setup, imaging software, and antivirus updates.
• Coordinate with field personnel to discuss installation issues.
• Read blueprints/SOWs and ensure test lab equipment is maintained.
• Interface with customers demonstrating strong oral and written communication.
• Conduct R&D on new system manufacturers and evaluate interoperability.
