Job summary

Center for Internet Security seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to support U.S. SLTT and Education customers in a hybrid pre-sales and post-sales capacity.

You will work with the Sales Solutions Engineering and TAM teams to drive opportunities from discovery through onboarding and renewal. The role requires deep knowledge of managed security services (MDR/MXDR/NDR), experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and Sophos, and strong customer-facing communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline.
• 5+ years in sales/solutions engineering with pre- and post-sales responsibilities in cybersecurity.
• Deep knowledge of managed security services (MDR, EDR/XDR/MXDR, NDR/IDS, DNS security).
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and/or Sophos platforms.
• Strong network fundamentals and cloud platform familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of U.S. SLTT government environments and public-sector sales cycles.
• Experience mentoring and leading other engineers.
• Proactive, customer-first communication style and ability to drive issues to resolution.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including remote demos via Teams.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME across the CIS portfolio (MDR, MXDR, MDBR/MDBR+, CIS Hardened Images, CIS SecureSuite, networking, cloud security).
• Provide hybrid pre-sales and post-sales engineering support (discovery, design, demos, onboarding, escalation handling).
• Own onboarding experience for assigned accounts to accelerate value and protect revenue.
• Collaborate with CIS Services Account Executives and senior teams throughout government sales cycles.
• Coordinate with TAM team to ensure seamless customer experience from pre-sales to renewal.
• Engage customers and stakeholders via phone, video, and in-person meetings as needed.
• Mentor engineers to broaden competencies across managed security services.
• Develop enablement content, runbooks, and demos to shorten ramp time.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to articulate cybersecurity value.
• Synthesize customer feedback to inform Product Management priorities.
