SMBC is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Regulatory Readiness Manager to join our Audit & Regulatory Management (ARM) team within Cybersecurity. This senior, hands-on role strengthens the Regulatory Readiness programme and ensures the organisation is prepared for regulatory examinations and compliance assessments.

You will work with Cybersecurity, Risk, Audit, Compliance and Technology teams to coordinate engagements, assess readiness and reinforce the control environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT audit, technology risk, regulatory compliance, or related area.
• Proven track record managing regulatory examinations, supervisory reviews, or regulatory readiness programmes within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulation, technology risk and control environments.
• Experience translating evolving regulatory requirements into practical cybersecurity controls.

Responsabilités

• Support development and enhancement of Cybersecurity’s Regulatory Readiness program, focusing on governance, assessment methodology, reporting, and forward planning.
• Coordinate cybersecurity regulatory examinations, supervisory reviews and regulatory enquiries, ensuring timely responses with evidence.
• Conduct regulatory readiness assessments, control reviews and gap analyses against regulatory requirements and industry frameworks.
• Identify and track regulatory readiness gaps and remediation actions through risk and issue management processes.
• Maintain traceability between regulatory requirements, cybersecurity controls, evidence, findings and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Technology, Risk, Audit and Compliance teams to strengthen regulatory preparedness.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity regulatory developments and assess their impact on the program.
• Produce management information and executive reporting on regulatory developments and remediation progress.
• Lead development and implementation of tools that improve regulatory readiness and evidence management.
