Job summary

Abbott in Illinois is seeking a Senior Manager, Cybersecurity to lead cybersecurity strategy across Abbott’s product, manufacturing, and enterprise security areas. This onsite role supports R&D, Quality, IT, and Corporate Cybersecurity teams while mentoring cybersecurity professionals.

You will drive secure SDLC practices, risk assessments, incident response, and regulatory compliance, partnered with site leadership in Lake Forest/Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years leading cybersecurity teams, programs, or initiatives.
• Understanding of product security and risk management in healthcare/regulated environments.
• Familiarity with FDA cybersecurity guidance for medical devices and connected healthcare products.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of divisional product cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
• Lead product security risk assessments, threat modeling, and security testing.
• Drive compliance efforts for FDA requirements, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related standards.
• Oversee vulnerability management, incident response, and coordinated disclosure activities.
• Collaborate with IT, Manufacturing, and Cybersecurity teams to mitigate enterprise security risks.
• Provide governance for identity, access, network security, and risk assessments.
