Job summary

Koniag IT Systems LLC seeks a Senior Security Manager with a Secret clearance to lead Cybersecurity Service Operations (CSO) for a government customer in Smyrna, GA. You will oversee governance, incident management, and risk activities in a DoD/NIST-aligned environment.

The role emphasizes liaison with government stakeholders, policy development, and team leadership across security domains, including data protection, insider threat, and endpoint security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT security or related field; extensive substitute experience acceptable.
• 7+ years of U.S. Federal government cybersecurity service operation experience; 10+ years if no bachelor’s degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01 IAT II and CSSP Analyst certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for government stakeholders and technical teams.
• Oversee CSO delivery aligned with DoW requirements and federal standards.
• Develop cybersecurity guidance, policies, and procedures.
• Lead risk assessments and risk management activities.
• Provide leadership across governance, identity protection, data protection, incident, vulnerability, forensics, insider threat, and endpoint security.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO, and DoD directives.
• Lead incident response, containment, and remediation.
• Coordinate vulnerability management and insider threat programs.
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to CSO staff.
• Present security briefings to senior government leadership.
• Monitor threat landscape and adapt security posture accordingly.
