Job summary

KLDiscovery is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Operations to lead and modernize Security Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence. This fully remote role oversees MDR, SOC engineering, vulnerability management, and AI security posture across our global engineering teams.

The position reports to the CISO and focuses on automation, risk reduction, and proactive security governance. The role requires 15+ years in information security with leadership experience and hands-on

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in information security with leadership roles.
• Experience maturing an MDR deployment in a corporate environment.
• Hands-on in at least two security domains (engineering, incident response, cloud/app security).

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Operations and Incident Response teams and processes.
• Oversee SOC detection engineering and automated responses.
• Drive threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and control validation.
• Shape security tooling strategy and automation-first practices.
• Partner with the CISO and drive MDR maturity and integration with workflows.
