Job summary

Akima Global Technology (AGT) is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Manager to lead enterprise cybersecurity operations, incident response, and compliance activities across TSA mission-critical IT environments, including on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid setups.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems while aligning with DHS, TSA, FISMA, and NIST 800‑53 requirements for continuous service improvement and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, IT, CS or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles supporting enterprise environments.
• Experience leading incident response and cybersecurity operations in federal or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53, DHS policies, and federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cybersecurity operations with continuous monitoring, detection, and response across all IT environments.
• Direct incident response activities including triage, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Oversee cybersecurity endpoints, vulnerability management systems, and monitoring technologies.
• Coordinate cross-functional response with network, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Manage cybersecurity ticketing lifecycle, escalation, tracking, and resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and after-action reports.
• Oversee POA&M lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and closure of findings.
• Support DHS FISMA compliance activities, including monthly scorecards and audits.
• Ensure ISVM directives and CISA KEV catalog requirements are met.
• Provide security across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments with secure configurations.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for cybersecurity posture and incident trends.
• Document all activities to be auditable and aligned with TSA/DHS policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for automation, threat detection, and operations.
• Integrate threat intelligence and monitoring tools to strengthen proactive detection.
• Develop workforce strategy including staffing and cross-functional alignment for resilience.
• Ensure continuity planning and cross-trained teams for high-tempo operations across mission areas.
• Own SLA performance across service areas to drive accountability and service improvement.
