Job summary

Fermi America is seeking a Cybersecurity & IT Risk Lead Consultant to establish and mature the cybersecurity, risk, and compliance function for a growing infrastructure organization. You will partner with executives, legal, and operations to evolve cybersecurity, IT risk, and governance programs in regulated settings.

The role demands hands‑on technical leadership and strategic direction, with experience across IAM/PAM, Microsoft Entra, cloud security, operations, and vendor risk.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, information security, IT risk, or security consulting.
• Experience building or maturing security programs within growing organizations.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and implement cybersecurity governance, policies, standards, and risk management frameworks.
• Develop and execute a strategic cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business goals and growth.
• Establish security metrics, reporting, and executive risk visibility.
• Lead enterprise cybersecurity risk assessments and remediation initiatives.
• Support SOX controls and public-company cybersecurity requirements.
• Oversee IAM, PAM/PIM, and Microsoft Entra programs and access governance.
• Coordinate security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and MSSP management.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations to align cybersecurity with data governance.
