Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; Advanced Degree preferred.
• 8-15 years of experience in systems security.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives; attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of encryption, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cyber forensics, intrusion detection, and incident response and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation of complex computer and information security incidents to determine extent of compromise.
• Define security objectives and system-level performance requirements.
• Research tools/techniques and stay abreast of vulnerabilities.
• Configure and validate secure systems; test security products to detect weaknesses.
• Maintain incident, damage and threat assessment programs.
• Responsible for Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for government accrediting authority and reporting.
• Responsible for system audits and corrective measures.
• Design, develop, or recommend integrated system solutions protecting data.
• Establish strict program controls to mitigate risks and support certification/accreditation.
• Review processes and security protocols and make recommendations.
