Job summary

ASM Research in Olympia, WA seeks a senior cyber security professional to lead investigations, design secure systems, and mitigate national security risks. You will apply advanced encryption, vulnerability assessment, and incident response techniques to protect sensitive data and automated information systems.

Reporting to the security program, you will coordinate risk assessments, ST&E activities, and system accreditation efforts, while liaising with external entities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; Advanced Degree preferred.
• 8–15 years of experience in systems security.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of complex security incidents to determine extent of compromise.
• Define security objectives and system-level performance requirements.
• Research threats and trends in computer network vulnerabilities.
• Configure and validate secure systems and test security products.
• Maintain the computer and information security incident, damage and threat assessment programs.
• Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and accreditation activities.
• Review processes and security protocols to improve protection.
