Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union seeks a seasoned Cybersecurity Technology Engineering leader in Vienna, VA, to plan, supervise and direct engineering functions within the CTE team. You will collaborate with managers to define strategic vision and provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to protect NFCU's brand, data, and IT assets from cyber threats.

The role requires extensive experience in enterprise security operations, firewall management, and incident response, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Network Security Engineer (10 years preferred).
• Strong expertise with Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco ISE and enterprise security operations.
• Extensive knowledge of SIEM, DLP, UEBA and related technologies.
• Proven leadership of staff and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee architecture, engineering and operations for CTE security solutions.
• Manage daily firewall and IDS/IPS operations.
• Develop and enforce standardized network security policies.
• Guide Incident Response & Monitoring teams in threats.
• Ensure compliance with laws, NFCU policies and SLAs.
• Lead capacity planning and resource allocation.
