Job summary

Upbound Group seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise security capabilities across Zero Trust, data security, IAM, and network security. The role blends architecture with hands‑on engineering, including policy tuning, automation, and AI‑assisted tooling, to accelerate security outcomes enterprise‑wide.

The engineer will partner with Architecture, IT, Platform, Privacy, and Risk teams to ensure secure, auditable, and scalable controls, including governance,

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in information security engineering or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience designing and implementing Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with data security engineering (DLP/DSPM, encryption, key management).
• Strong IAM (SSO, MFA, lifecycle automation) and PAM experience.
• Network security engineering and cloud guardrails experience.
• Ability to design and engineer security controls end‑to‑end.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF/800‑53, CIS, PCI DSS).

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer Zero Trust architecture across environments.
• Implement data security controls, DLP/DSPM, encryption, and key management.
• Design and maintain IAM and PAM capabilities and automation.
• Develop network security, segmentation, and ZTNA solutions.
• Contribute to security standards, reference architectures, and governance.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, IT, and Platform teams for operability.
• Evaluate vendors and tools for Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, and network security.
• Translate security plans into engineering backlogs and roadmaps.
