Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. in Arlington, VA (remote with occasional on-site) seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer/Team Lead to secure federal information systems under RMF, FISMA, HIPAA, and agency policies.

You will lead vulnerability management, incident response planning, and maintain ATO readiness while coordinating with cross-functional IT teams. The role requires deep federal cybersecurity expertise and hands-on skills with Nessus, SIEM, and security automation, plus a track record of leading

Qualifications

• Masters Degree with substitution option described in posting.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity and team leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• Remote with occasional on-site meetings in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle NIST RMF activities including categorization, controls, assessment, POA&M, and ATO sustainment.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and agency policies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain documentation, respond to findings, and support audits.
• Review scans, validate findings, and coordinate remediation with owners and operations.
• Develop and maintain processes for continuous monitoring, risk scoring, and reporting.
• Integrate threat intelligence to identify risks and drive mitigation.
• Support security audits, penetration tests, and secure configuration enforcement.
• Lead coordination with internal security teams, IT ops, legal/compliance, and government stakeholders.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and improve incident response plans.
• Guide security controls across infrastructure, apps, and cloud environments.
• Provide expertise in secure architecture, IAM, and audit log review.
• Analyze system changes for security impact and support change control.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and security optimization.
• Supervise cybersecurity engineers and specialists.
• Collaborate with network, server, cloud, and application teams for remediation.
• Support program-level coordination, reporting, and stakeholder briefings.
