Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will develop cybersecurity requirements for combat systems and lead policy/guidance efforts in a multi-classification environment.

Qualified candidates will have DoD/IA experience, active Top Secret eligibility, and IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01. Strong communication and MBSE use are valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of program-specific security engineering with Navy afloat/tactical systems or 10 years general security engineering.
• Minimum IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or equivalent; Privileged users require T-5/T-R in JPAS.
• Strong understanding of DoD IA policies and ability to communicate clearly in writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for DOD cyber assurance across multiple classifications.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analyses and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, and MBSE-based risk assessments.
• Use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
