Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and deep knowledge of DoD IA policies affecting land-based and afloat/tactical systems.

You will develop cybersecurity requirements, perform risk assessments, and lead efforts to close policy and threat gaps across combat systems. This position is full-time and location-specific to Dahlgren, VA.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering with Navy afloat/tactical systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Privileged users must have final adjudicated T-5/T-R with IT level-1 designation in JPAS and OS/CE training within six months of start date.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies, and ability to communicate clearly in written and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research and analysis to support DoD cyber assurance and policy efforts.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, risk assessments, and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Develop MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
