Job summary

Critical Start in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and improve our Managed Security Services. You will manage SIEM environments (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Sum o Logic) and integrate EDR/XDR solutions, while guiding clients and teammates with technical leadership.

You will configure content, respond to advanced requests, and help mature clients' security programs, using automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience and industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Configure data sources and log forwarders; create custom content (dashboards, workbooks, reports, alerts).
• Conduct environment reviews and gap analyses; fulfill advanced SIEM requests.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for client issues; collaborate on onboarding and support of security technologies.
• Identify opportunities to automate SIEM and Endpoint engineering workloads; lead cross-functional training.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, SOPs, and training materials.
