Job summary

Indigo IT, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Lead in Ashburn, VA, with hybrid work options. The role focuses on vulnerability and configuration compliance across Windows and MacOS environments, developing security measures, investigating incidents, and creating SOPs for software deployment.

Qualified candidates will have deep expertise in FISMA/NIST controls, risk assessment, and security tooling such as Nessus, Splunk, and Tanium. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with detecting, monitoring, and remediating cybersecurity issues.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or IT; 10 years experience considered in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Support Risk Management Framework activities and continuous monitoring.
• Lead SA&A activities and conformance testing.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with team for RMF testing and incident analysis.
• Create auditable evidence and reports for information assurance.
• Provide SME guidance for proposals, white papers, and information requests.
• Mentor junior staff and drive improvements in security posture.
