Job summary

VMD Corp, now part of Xcelerate Solutions, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support TSA's Office of Information Technology, Technology Solutions Division, and its mission critical systems.

You will lead cybersecurity initiatives across multiple IT projects, collaborate with security engineers, and translate risk findings into actionable tasks while communicating with technical and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in IT and cybersecurity with a technical background.
• Certification: CISSP or CISM.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure SDLC.
• Programming ability in Java, PHP, C, .NET, Go, or Python.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead security initiatives for TSA mission-critical systems.
• Coordinate with security engineers and various stakeholders to address risks.
• Translate standards (NIST/DHS/TSA) into actionable tasks.
• Develop recommendations to improve security posture and implement changes.
• Utilize security tools and coordinate with architecture review boards.
