Huntington National Bank is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide technical and engineering expertise for the Cyber Security Department. The successful candidate will contribute to provisioning, supporting, and ongoing maintenance of cyber security platforms, applications, and services aligned with enterprise strategy.

The role requires production support of security technologies, experience in incident response, and collaboration with the Cyber Security Operations Center.

Formación

• 5+ years of production support and design of Cyber Security technologies.
• 5+ years of operational experience with security technologies, or related technical tooling.
• 5+ years of implementing or utilizing technology lifecycles and best practices.
• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience in cybersecurity production support.
• Expert level network troubleshooting skills utilizing packet capture/analysis packages such as Wireshark, TCPdump, etc.
• Intermediate level knowledge of core networking protocols including BGP, DNS, HTTP/S, DNS, etc.
• Intermediate level knowledge of operating systems, e.g. Windows, Linux, & Unix.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the day-to-day security operations monitoring and response from the Cyber Security Operations Center.
• Evaluate, respond, and mitigate alerts that originate from the SIEM and the Cyber Security product suite, e.g. NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, EPP/EDR, Web Application Firewalls, etc.
• Implement or recommend mitigations including the creation and development of new alerts and rules within the various cyber security tools.
• Be able to analyze and identify malicious activity during the various attack stages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Educación

Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience in cybersecurity production support
