Job summary

Answers in Genesis HQ in Erlanger, KY seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to operate, administer, and continuously improve the ministry’s cybersecurity environment. You will protect endpoints, identities, networks, cloud services, applications, email, and security platforms with monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and ongoing control improvement.

This role requires independent technical judgment and close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must agree with and be able to sign Answers in Genesis Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
• Demonstrate Christ-like professionalism, discretion, and tact in all interactions.
• Understand cybersecurity must protect ministry operations while enabling objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, logs, alerts, and incidents across the enterprise.
• Investigate, contain, eradicate, and remediate cybersecurity incidents.
• Use MITRE ATT&CK to understand attacker tactics and improve defenses.
• Coordinate remediation with Infrastructure, Dev, Helpdesk, and owners.
• Maintain security configurations across cloud and on-prem systems.
