Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to protect the enterprise by detecting and remediating threats across email, endpoints, cloud, and networks. The role emphasizes advanced threat analysis, incident response, and threat intelligence with AI-enhanced SOC processes.

You will collaborate with Cybersecurity teams, implement proactive defenses, and support customer security initiatives as needed while staying current on evolving threat landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience or equivalent mix of education/experience.
• Hands-on experience with threat intelligence and incident response.
• Experience with security tech (firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR).
• Strong forensics and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and remediates threats across email, endpoints, identities, cloud, AI, and networks.
• Provides after-hours support for incident response.
• Collaborates with Cybersecurity teams to improve threat detection and response.
• Leads projects implementing advanced security technologies across environments.
• Tunes SIEM, SOAR, threat intel platforms, EDR/XDR, and cloud security tools.
• Performs threat analysis using MITRE ATT&CK and related frameworks.
• Detects and counter AI-enabled threats and risks like prompt injection.
• Monitors AI usage and protects against data leakage and unauthorized access.
• Builds AI/automation to streamline SOC processes and playbooks.
• Prepares metrics, playbooks, and documentation for the program.
