Job Overview

The Software Security Developer is responsible for developing software applications, services, and systems, including user-facing and back-end services. Manage source code using industry best practices, research new techniques, and utilize code validation tools to ensure security and compatibility. Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs, develop solutions, test and integrate software, and perform test-driven development. Modify existing software for performance and compatibility, create models and prototypes, and share insights with colleagues and leadership. Develop DevOpsSec pipelines, incorporate security protocols, and lead the design of secure software solutions ensuring compliance with DHS standards. Provide expertise in threat modeling and secure coding, mentor teams, and integrate security into the SDLC.

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years of IT security experience, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

Desired Skills/Experience

• Certifications like CASE, CSSLP, CEH, CISA, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with DevOpsSec pipelines, cloud computing, and programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with full-stack web development, agile methodologies, API development, and SDLC.
• Knowledge of IT/software governance policies and security assessment standards.
