Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a cybersecurity professional to manage Tanium-based vulnerability management across endpoints and cloud workloads. You will administer, configure, and optimize Tanium modules and develop sensors, reports, and dashboards.

The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and enterprise IT, with strong Windows knowledge, scripting skills, and the ability to communicate technical risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or engineering.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity and vulnerability management experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the enterprise Vulnerability Management program across workstations, servers, cloud workloads, and other infrastructure.
• Identify, analyze, validate, prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across the enterprise.
• Develop Tanium sensors, questions, packages, actions, computer groups, dashboards, and reports.
• Configure vulnerability assessments and compliance scans.
• Support patch and vulnerability remediation using Tanium Patch and Deploy or integrated endpoint-management technologies.
• Develop patch deployment groups and maintenance windows.
• Track patch deployment status, failures, exceptions, and remediation progress.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Operations, IT Infrastructure, application owners, cloud teams, system owners, and business stakeholders.

Job description

• Support the enterprise Vulnerability Management program across workstations, servers, cloud workloads, and other infrastructure
• Identify, analyze, validate, prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across the enterprise
• Administer, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the Tanium platform and modules
• Develop Tanium sensors, questions, packages, actions, computer groups, dashboards, and reports
• Administer and optimize Tanium Comply for vulnerability and configuration assessment
• Configure vulnerability assessments and compliance scans
• Support patch and vulnerability remediation using Tanium Patch and Deploy or integrated endpoint-management technologies
• Develop patch deployment groups and maintenance windows
• Track patch deployment status, failures, exceptions, and remediation progress
• Maintain endpoint asset visibility and identify unmanaged, stale, duplicate, or non-compliant devices
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar technologies
• Integrate Tanium with SIEM/XDR, vulnerability management, ITSM, CMDB, and other enterprise security platforms
• Support Cybersecurity Operations during vulnerability-related incidents and emerging threats
• Query enterprise endpoints during incident investigations and support emergency containment or remediation
• Develop vulnerability dashboards, metrics, KPIs, executive reporting, and actionable security information
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Operations, IT Infrastructure, application owners, cloud teams, system owners, and business stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of cybersecurity, endpoint engineering, vulnerability management, systems administration, or related technical experience
• Hands‑on experience administering or supporting Tanium in an enterprise environment
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes
• Working knowledge of Windows enterprise environments
• Understanding of vulnerability scoring, CVSS, exploitability, and risk-based vulnerability prioritization
• Experience with enterprise patch‑management processes
• Understanding of endpoint security technologies and architecture
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to analyze large amounts of endpoint and vulnerability data
• Ability to communicate technical risks and remediation requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Relevant certifications are preferred but not required
• U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR or eligibility for an export license
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance, is desired
