Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced security engineer to design and implement advanced cybersecurity data solutions across diverse IT environments in the United States. You will integrate data from multiple security tools, identify risks, and guide response and assurance efforts while mentoring peers and leading incident response initiatives.

The role requires deep cybersecurity knowledge, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong SDLC security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 7+ years in security engineering or related roles
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, theories and concepts
• Experience with software development lifecycle security practices
• Knowledge of threat modeling, security testing and pentesting
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements advanced cybersecurity data solutions to identify risks and guide response and assurance efforts
• Performs data acquisition and analysis to uncover vulnerabilities and remediate
• Integrates data from diverse security technologies and defines automatable processes
• Acts as escalation point for challenging security data issues and creates reusable solutions
• Assesses emerging threats and tools and guides technical plans and priorities
• Collaborates with product, engineering and operations to apply modern security practices
• Leads incident response and forensics activities and improves playbooks
• Mentors and trains other security engineers to elevate team capability
• Enables data excellence via evangelization and education
