Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to assess risk across new technologies in a large enterprise. You will lead architecture reviews for cloud, on-prem, APIs, and vendor solutions, define controls, and communicate risk with practical mitigations.

The role spans planning, design, and pre-production validation while mentoring junior staff. You will evaluate IAM, data protection, cryptography, and regulatory implications, ensuring security is integrated into the business

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in cybersecurity architecture and risk assessments in large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles across cloud, network, and application domains.
• Experience with cloud IAM, data protection, and workload security on major platforms.
• Ability to interpret vulnerability findings and drive mitigations.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO/IEC 27001 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture reviews for projects, platforms, and vendor solutions.
• Analyze networks, data flows, trust boundaries, and security controls.
• Perform threat modeling to identify attack paths and weaknesses.
• Identify and rate cybersecurity risks and define mitigations.
• Document risk exposure, impact, and residual risk clearly.
• Assess internet-facing tech and cloud architectures for security.
• Mentor cybersecurity professionals and share knowledge.
• Stay current with threats and update architecture standards.
