Job summary

Castelion, headquartered in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to design and implement secure, compliant information security solutions across regulated environments. This hands-on role translates mission requirements into end-to-end security controls, with emphasis on policy automation and risk reduction.

You will collaborate with IT, software, DevSecOps, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and legal to ensure controls meet technical and regulatory standards,

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Strong background in network security, access control and vulnerability management.
• Experience with cloud security and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement security architectures aligned with Zero Trust and defense-in-depth.
• Develop security reference architectures, patterns, and standards for enterprise systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity across the full system lifecycle (requirements, design, development, test, deployment).
• Design, implement, and maintain security tools (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, scanners).
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses.
• Monitor security events, investigate anomalies, and respond to incidents promptly.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and audit documentation.
• Partner with IT, engineering, DevSecOps, and Program Security to integrate security into design.
• Manage security patching and remediation based on risk assessments.
• Support audits and risk management (NIST, CMMC, etc.) and supply chain cybersecurity concerns.
• Conduct internal readiness checks for external audits or DoD reviews.
• Serve as on-site security expert for Torrance HQ with occasional travel (5–10%).
