Job summary

CompQsoft, Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to proactively monitor, detect, and respond to threats across networks, systems, and cloud environments.

You will conduct threat triage, incident investigations, and risk analyses, review security alerts for IOCs, and correlate data across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments to inform risk prioritization. You will ensure compliance with federal standards such as NIST and FISMA, document incidents and lessons learned, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CEH, GCIA, CISA, GCIH, CCSP.
• Onsite in Brooklyn, NY preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat triage, incident investigation, and risk analysis to safeguard DOE systems and data assets.
• Review security alerts and events to identify IOCs and attack patterns across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Correlate security data from multiple sources to produce a unified view of organizational cyber risk.
• Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations; assess business impact.
• Ensure alignment with federal standards (NIST, FISMA) and internal policies.
• Document incident findings, trends, and lessons learned for SOC improvements.
• Monitor threats across SOC, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, Information Protection, and Data Protection domains.
