The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity operations, strong incident response experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid setting with three days on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity operations experience.
• Proven experience leading complex investigations & incident response.
• Strong root cause analysis and investigative documentation.
• Experience with malware and ransomware analysis.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and network traffic analysis.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/IDS/IPS and firewalls.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead security investigations from detection to containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including high-priority events.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify threats early.
• Perform malware and ransomware analysis and remediation guidance.
• Leverage SIEM, EDR, MDR and other tools to detect threats.
• Document investigative findings clearly and comprehensively.
• Implement security controls to protect systems and data.
• Coordinate with external vendors and MSPs on escalations.
• Serve as SME across cyber disciplines.
• Identify opportunities to automate security processes.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Develop and maintain security procedures and standards.
• Support audits and compliance with technical expertise.
