Senior Cybersecurity Analyst – CONTINGENT – 26-022 – Hybrid

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc., an equal opportunity, Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Department of Defense contractor, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in the Old Town area of San Diego.

This hybrid position involves approximately 60% onsite and 40% remote work. The role will serve as a senior cybersecurity analyst throughout the program’s system engineering, deployment, and sustainment phases, executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process from categorization to authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RMF process for the program, including system categorization, development of System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), and Security Program Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Document NIST 800‑53 security control implementations and produce Risk Assessment Reports (RARs).
• Collaborate with program ISSMs, external stakeholders, and engineering teams to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and integrate findings into POA&Ms.
• Answer data calls and TASKORDs/OPORDs, providing status updates to ISSMs for RMF authorization status.
• Track and report cybersecurity risks to ISSMs, cyber leads, and engineering teams.
• Work independently and serve as a self‑starter in a dynamic environment.
• Travel up to 10% as required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance.
• DoD 8140.03 IAT II certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and eight plus years in cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• DoD RMF experience in the ISSE role in eMASS, developing/updating RMF SSPs, documenting NIST 800‑53 controls, developing SAPs, POA&Ms, and RARs.
• Proficient use of eMASS.
• Experience reviewing DISA STIGs/SRGs, SCAP, and ACAS results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to advise stakeholders and accrediting authorities.
• Self‑starter who can work independently.
• Hybrid work model of approximately 60% onsite and 40% remote.

Salary Range: $140K–$165K. Placement is based on qualifications, ranging from Level I to Level V.
