Job summary

Apollo Information Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor II to help clients set and advance their cybersecurity strategy across long-term engagements.

You will translate risk into prioritized roadmaps, guide governance and framework alignment, and enable leadership to make sound security decisions. This role emphasizes a business-first, advisory approach and requires strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Cybersecurity experience with client-facing advisory, consulting, or security leadership.
• Ability to translate risk into executive language for boards and leadership.
• Deep working knowledge of one or more major frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, CMMC) and how to operationalize them.
• Experience managing long-term client relationships and multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to client stakeholders to define and advance cybersecurity strategy over multi-month/year engagements.
• Develop prioritized, business-aware security roadmaps that mature client posture over time.
• Advise on governance, risk, and compliance, aligning programs to frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, CMMC, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
• Translate technical risk into clear business language for executives and boards.
• Own advisory relationship for assigned clients, driving cadence, measurable progress, and risk reduction.
