Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to design and deliver mission-critical cybersecurity solutions for national security objectives. The role requires deep expertise in networking, intelligence, and cybersecurity, with senior-level responsibilities in an on-site environment in McLean, Virginia.

Responsibilities include evaluating methodologies, leveraging MITRE capabilities to boost mission impact, and supporting collection operations while briefing senior leaders on findings

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years + Master’s; or PhD with 5 years’ experience.
• Ability to work with others to solve challenging technical problems and think critically.
• Experience analyzing raw threat intelligence from multiple collection disciplines (SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT).
• Understanding of computer networks and OSI model; data flow and security across layers.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizen required; on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing methodologies and develop recommendations for improved processes, tools, analytics, and infrastructure.
• Identify capabilities across MITRE to increase mission impact for the sponsor.
• Support intelligence collection operations with sponsor leaders to enable mission outcomes.
• Convey technical findings and recommendations to senior decision makers and mission partners.
