Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Maryland seeks a Senior Principal Cyber Threat Analyst to support the I&R team within CIDO. You will lead analytical triage of cyber events, perform in-depth threat analysis, and craft actionable writeups for senior leadership. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, strong scripting (Python/Perl), and experience with CIRT tools.

You will develop custom scripts, analyze logs and PCAP data, and brief cross-functional teams on threat posture and mitigations.

Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science; or 6 years with Masters; or 4 years with PhD.
Current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access and a recent Polygraph.
Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures for assessments.
Experience with two or more analysis tools used in a CIRT or similar investigative environment.
Minimum 4 years analyzing log data in intrusion analysis or cybersecurity operations.
Minimum 4 years of Python, Perl or other scripting language experience.

Responsibilities

Analytical triage and prioritization of concurrent cyber events and logs.
Correlate network indicators and PCAP data, generate event timelines and root cause analyses.
Independently create scripts to facilitate analysis and produce detailed written analyses.
Brief findings to technical and non-technical senior management.
Coordinate with I&R team and CI analysts on multi-tier threat mitigation.
