Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• Foundational cybersecurity principles and networking concepts.
• Basic scripting or query skills or willingness to learn Python/PowerShell/SQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for security research and documentation.
• Awareness of AI risks and governance in security processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitors security alerts and performs initial triage using documented procedures.
• Reviews logs from firewalls, email, DNS, endpoints to identify indicators of compromise.
• Creates/updates tickets and escalates incidents per severity criteria.
• Supports incident response activities and basic containment tracking.
• Uses AI-assisted capabilities to enrich alerts and summarize evidence.
• Communicates findings clearly to cybersecurity teams and vendors.
• Participates in change management and security operations procedures.
• Assists with security metrics and awareness activities.
