Job summary

Sompo International, based in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O for its Sompo Pro team. The role entails underwriting professional lines, cyber, and related liability products, with a focus on developing broker relationships and marketing initiatives within the Central region.

The position requires at least 5 years in professional lines underwriting, strong communication, analytical skills, and willingness to travel ~10% to support retail and wholesale partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Professional lines Underwriting Experience.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Established relationships with Retail and Wholesale networks in the Central region.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting of Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology E&O, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, and related lines.
• Evaluate risk characteristics, determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing.
• Maintain and develop broker relationships with retail and wholesale partners in the Central region.
• Develop and execute marketing plans to retain and grow Sompo Pro business.
• Interact and negotiate with internal and external business partners.
