Job summary

Sompo International is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O for its Sompo Pro unit in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on underwriting Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology E&O, Cyber, and related lines for primary and excess risks, developing broker relationships and marketing plans in the South-Central region.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional lines underwriting experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and willingness to travel about 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Professional lines Underwriting Experience.
• Established relationships within the Wholesale Network in the South-Central Marketplace.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers.
• Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing.
• Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships and develop new relationships within the South-Central wholesale marketplace.
• Develop and execute marketing plans to retain existing business and generate new opportunities within Sompo Pro's risk appetite.
• Interact, communicate and negotiate with external and internal business partners.

_Our Sompo Pro Underwriting team offers Cyber, Tech E&O, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Insurance Agents E&O, and Architects and Engineers E&O for primary and excess risks. What you’ll be doing :

• Underwrite Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers
• Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and properly determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing
• Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships as well as identify and develop new relationships within the South-Central region wholesale marketplace
• Develop and execute marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit with in the Sompo Pro division risk appetite
• Effectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners
