Job summary

Cornerstone Defense in Chantilly, VA seeks a highly motivated Cyber Technical Analyst to design, implement, and maintain cyber security assurance processes. The role involves developing security policies, conducting assessments, and monitoring the organization’s security posture.

The candidate will lead tests, assess systems for policy deviations, and support government accreditation efforts. 11+ years of experience and a BA/BS are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience) required.
• 11+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience designing and maintaining security assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements.
• Performs assessments of systems and networks and identifies deviations from policies.
• Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
• Establishes strict program control processes to mitigate risks and support certification/ accreditation.
• Assists in implementing government policy (NISPOM, DCID 6/3) and tailors processes as needed.
• Performs analyses to validate security requirements and recommends safeguards.
• Supports formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for accrediting authorities through preparations, participation, and reporting.
• Reviews system audits and monitors corrective actions until closure.
• Provides advanced guidance to cybersecurity personnel and may lead teams.
