Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. As a Cyber System Security Engineer, you will contribute to protecting national security, supporting RMF, and integrating cybersecurity across the system life cycle at El Segundo, CA.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with RMF, eMASS, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of direct RMF and cybersecurity experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/CS or related field.
• Experience with eMASS, ACAS/Nessus, and STIGs.
• Strong ability to develop SOWs, CDRLs, and risk documentation.
• Experience with program protection, supply-chain risk, and cryptography.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems security engineering across the SDLC per NIST SP 800-160 and DoD requirements.
• Translate requirements into architecture artifacts and test procedures.
• Lead RMF activities including authorization packages and continuous monitoring.
• Develop SSPs, SAPs, SARs, SCTMs, and related documentation.
• Provide cybersecurity risk assessments and remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate with ISSM/AO/engineers on risk and compliance.
• Support program protection, supply-chain risk, and cryptography efforts.
• Maintain IT governance artifacts using eMASS/ITIPS and ensure DoD compliance.
