Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated Information Systems Architect to join the Threat Analysis Technologies group. The role focuses on protecting national security by enhancing infrastructure resilience through a range of systems tasks, from on-premises cloud management to containerized app administration.

You will participate in daily sysadmin duties, VM and storage management, and active collaboration with diverse technical staff while maintaining a strong security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with five years of directly relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience deploying information services in a high security production environment.
• Experience with enterprise and network services (DNS, NTP, DHCP), firewalls, and storage systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance which may require a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-premises cloud environments management.
• Support VM management tasks and VM backups/restores.
• Maintain ZFS snapshots, data mirroring, and backups.
• Contribute to web services administration and monitor system health.
• Assist with Docker/Podman containerized applications and KMS server maintenance.
• Provide Linux and Windows desktop support under guidance.
• Assist with network maintenance and equipment management.
