Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated R&D Cyber Intel Analyst to join a dynamic team focused on protecting national security through cyber-physical resilience. The role emphasizes threat analysis, risk assessment, and multi-domain coordination, with opportunities to shape innovative cyber designs.

Onsite work is required, with clearances required, and a pathway for working with federal sponsors and multidisciplinary experts across Sandia's facilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience.
• Active DOE Q and SCI clearance is required to start (or equivalent DOD Top Secret/SCI).
• Graduate degree preferred for advanced independent research capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intelligence analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and risks affecting cyber-physical systems.
• Apply integrated technical judgment and critical thinking to formulate problem statements for national security challenges.
• Analyze multi-domain data to understand system interactions and inform risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, gather requirements, and negotiate technical objectives.
• Synthesize findings from research, intelligence inputs, and engineering analyses to support decisions.
• Communicate results and recommendations clearly to technical teams and decision makers.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive system solutions.
• Monitor emerging threats and developments to inform ongoing R&D efforts.
